What is the opportunity?
As the Summer Intern, Global Asset Management, you will provide support to the Asian Equity team at RBC Global Asset Management (GAM). Geographical coverage would include Asia Pacific and Japan.
What will you do?
Conduct research on Asian companies and sectors as directed by the Asian portfolio management team
Research would include financial modelling or company analysis, attending management meetings, writing reports, helping to build investment portfolios, or updating stock screens/models using Bloomberg and Factset
Assist in the development of the quantitative tools to be used in a revised investment and stock screening process for the Asian team
Work closely with other members of the analyst team in Hong Kong and other GAM teams to implement the stock screening process
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
University student
Solid analytical capabilities to be able to digest volumes of research and information and extract interesting and thematic trends
Good understanding on financial modeling
Excellent communication skills
Self-starter and good team player
Strong Excel, PowerPoint are a must
Intellectual curiosity
Fluent in English and preferably a good command of Mandarin and or Cantonese

Bloomberg skills would be an asset
